He was predeceased by: his mother Patty Nell Anderson; and his sister Donna Anderson Pickering. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Anderson (Rana) and Christie Nix (Brandon); his father Joseph Key Anderson; his siblings, Daniel Anderson (Debbie) and Marie Morton (Alan); his grandsons, Blake Anderson and Nathan Burdette; and his stepgrandchildren, Marissa Hollis, Calvin Whitfield and Quinton Whitefield. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
