He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Cadwell and Anna Cadwell; and his brother Kenneth F. Cadwell. He is survived by: his wife Helen C. Bradway Cadwell; his children, Ann C. Whitaker (Ricky) of Loganville and James E. Cadwell, Jr. of Loganville; his grandsons, Ryan E. Whitaker of Loganville, Garrett A. Whitaker of Loganville and Austin J. "AJ" Whitaker of Winder; his great grandchildren, Faith A. Wells of Loganville, Evelyn Sanders of Snellville, Drayton McDaniel of Winder and Axle J. Whitaker of Winder; his brother Thomas Cadwell of Tacoma, WA; and his sister-in-law Jeannette Cadwell of Covington.
