He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Atha (Carter); his parents, Sam Atha and Lillie Mae Atha (Bentley); and his siblings, James Atha, Ruby McMillian, Roxie Baker, Ruth Pittman, Runelle Royal, Robbie Thomas and Alice Lindsey.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Clay of Loganville and Eddie; his daughter-in-law Regina Atha of Loganville; his brother Howard Atha of Loganville; his grandchildren, Samantha Clay (Wade Roth) of Snellville, Ross, Erica Atha of Monroe, Leigh and Corey Ward of Loganville; and his great grandchildren, Cobe Ward, Walker Ward, Waylon Ward and Colton Atha.
