He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lee Tanner Sr. and Lou Emma Tanner (Bailey). He is survived by: his wife Helen P. Tanner (Johnson); his children, Anita Watkins (Gary), David Tanner and Tim Tanner (Kay); his sister Jean Sexton; and his grandchildren, Matt, Heather Watkins, Melissa, Jarrod Yancey, Mary, Adam Preston, Martin, Kristin Watkins, Trey, Annah Tanner, Kara, Andrew Beckett, Kristen Tanner, Michael Tanner and Alison Tanner. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the TIM Stewart Funeral Home (300 Simonton Rd SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of TIM Stewart Funeral Home (300 Simonton Rd SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046).
