He is survived by: his wife Carole E. MacDonell of Loganville; his sons, George William MacDonell, III (Bridget) of Gainesville and Michael Eugene MacDonell (Ashley) of Gainesville; and his sisters, Ann Chandler of Dawsonville and Georgia MacDonell of Gainesville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
