She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis D. Hicks, Sr. and Hazel Hicks; her son Garrett Lanier Hicks; and her sister Sheila Carter. She is survived by: her daughter Shayeeda Adair Hicks; her daughter-in-law Shaniella Hicks; her close friend Rahman Hudson; her stepchildren, Shekinah Hudson, Gabrielle Hudson and Rahman Hudson II; and her siblings, Sharron Littles (Matthew), Louis Hicks Jr., Shabar Hicks (June) and Shirell Jackson (Kimiyaki). She is also survived by nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, family friends.
