She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar Nixon Sheppard, Jr.; and her son Nixon Conley Sheppard. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Jina Sheppard; her children, Joseph Sheppard (Eileen) and Mary Robertson (Doug); and her granddaughters, Elizabeth (Dane), Rachel (Bryan), Sarah (Derek), Anna and Teresa.
