He was predeceased by: his mother Laura Elaine Ewing Freels; his brother Gregory Freels; his father Eugene Freels Jr.; his grandparents, Mary Freels and Eugene Freels Sr.; and his niece Aisha Freels.
He is survived by: his brother Terry; and his sister-in-law Gloria Freels of Golden Valley, MN.. He is also survived by nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, and cousins.
