He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin McDonald and Ruby Eleanor Shaw McDonald; his son Shane McDonald; and his siblings, Eleanor Fleanor, Reese McDonald, Jerry McDonald and Ricky McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Jacquelin Price McDonald; his daughters, Sandy Cofer (Jeff) of Atlanta and Mikael McDonald (Frances) of Wrightsville; and his siblings, Patricia Ann Dickerson (Ray) of Conyers, Cindy Griffeth (Larry) of Eatonton, Millie Rogers (David) of Athens, AL and Jay McDonald (Cathy) of Nashville, TN.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to Davisboro Baptist Church.
