She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Paul and Julia V. Deuell; her sister Sue Yeomans; her sons-in-law, Jim Strickland and Ed Blackburn; and her grandson Terry Merritt.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Merritt (Brenda) of Lithonia, Debbie Strickland of Covington and Pam McCoy of Montana; her grandchildren, Kelly Martin (Jenny), Ginger Merritt, Amanda Strickland, Renae'Strickland and Morgan Pope (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Alisha Carmichael (Lance), Kevin Anderson, Abigail Martin, Skylar Bryant, Gabrielle Merritt, Malachi Terrell, Jasper Martin, Ryan Clarke, Barrett Clarke and Asher Pope; her great great grandchildren, Colson and Rhett Carmichael; and her friend Beth Abbott. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
