She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie White McWilliams and William McWilliams (Bill); her brother Paul McWilliams; her son Jimmy Shelnutt; and her great grandchild Corbett Studdard.

She is survived by: her husband Howard Shelnutt; her children, Mark William Shelnutt, Cathy (Joe Page), Sandra (Marty George) and David Shelnutt; her nephews, Mike McWilliams and Danny; and also, Jimmy, David, Cathy, Sandra and Pat Shelnutt. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
