He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe Scott and Susan Ann Westfall Scott. He is survived by: his wife Gail Brooks Scott; his children, Justin Scott, Kristin Hollingsworth and Michelle Mills; his grandchildren, Danna Mills, Scarlett Scott, Mason Hollingsworth, Gage Hollingsworth, Ella Mills, Ozzie Scott and Emmalyne Scott; his sister Morgan Scott; his uncles, Jim Westfall and Hop Scott (Marge); his aunt Ann Wingard; and his siblings-in-law, James Brooks (Barbara) and Eveyln Corn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
