He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, W. H. Studdard and Ezma Bright Studdard; and his children, Cary and Deborah Studdard.

In the last 16 months, he lost his daughter to Covid. 5 weeks later, he lost the love of his life- his wife- to multiple strokes.
