He was predeceased by: his parents, James Davis Stager and Micheal Ledford Stager; his wife Carol Marie Garner Stager; and his sister Hazie Justice. He is survived by: his sons, Dave Stager (Joan), Rome Stager, Malcolm Stager (Diane) and Lindale; his grandchildren, Christy Sapp (Woody), Chad Stager, Brunswick, Lindsey Bowles (Charles) and Lindale; and his great grandchild Emmy Sapp. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
