He was predeceased by: his father John William "J. W.". He is survived by: his wife Carol Stager; his children, Sarah Trotter Smith (Wesley) and Andrew Trotter (Hailey); and his grandchildren, Landon Trotter, Hadley Smith and Ellison Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
