He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ellen Long Hanks; his children, Johnny Wayne Hanks (Julia), Paul Hanks, Tabitha Gresham (Chris) and Amanda Hanks; his grandchildren, Krista Clark (Richard), Katie Casey (Preston), Brayden Hanks, Briana Caroll, Branson Hanks, Brinley Hanks, Halle Hedgewood and Kaylan Eckleberry; his great grandchildren, Emmy Dover, Camden Potts, Kindel Casey and Linley Ruth Eckleberry; his nieces, Stacey Kelley and Dawn Buttram Dole; and his close friend Dr. Charles Jackson.
