He is survived by: his wife Nellie Lou Crunkelton; his children, Brenda Hann (Randall), Corey Townsend (Sandra), Lindale Townsend and Chris Townsend (Breanna); and his siblings, Shirley Redden of Rome and Carl Townsend of Rockmart. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
