He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Byrd "Al" Wright and Addie Irene Womack Wright; his significant other Ruth Newberry Wright; and his siblings, Jewel Childers, Kate Carver, Lewis, Clyde and Morris Wright.

He is survived by: his children, Lori Eddy, Sherry Garrett (Chris), Ray Wright (Patsy) and Joey Wright (Leigh); his grandchildren, Jimmy Garrett (Emily), Thomas Eddy, Janzen Wright and Addie Garrett; and his great grandchildren, Josie Eddy and Charlee Garrett. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
