He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Lee and Patty S. Garrett; his sister-in-law Beverly Womack; his wife Janice Garrett; his children, Darrell S. Garrett (Heather), Shaun P. Garrett (Lynn) and Stephanie Slaughter; his grandchildren, Savannah Garrett, Alexia Slaughter, Grace Garrett, Nicholas Slaughter, Megan Garrett, Ayden Garrett, Bryson Slaughter, Isabella Slaughter, Hayden Phillips and Guage Phillips; his great grandchildren, Jariko Forcier and Oakley Garrett; his siblings, John L. Garrett (Nancy), Darrell Garrett (Angela), Nathan Garrett, Barbara Gail Cohenour and Brenda Sue Lloyd (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Lemay (Tom), Rachel, Danny Davenport (Marya), Larry Davenport (Suzanne), Gerald Davenport and Gilbert Davenport (Deborah).
A reception will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harmony Baptist Church (1578 Booze Mountain Rd, Silver Creek, GA 30173).
