She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Hilliard and Virginia DeHart Hilliard; her brother Robert Hilliard (Bob); and her husbands, James Carter and George Wilkerson.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Carter (Liz Massey) of Silver Creek, GA and Randy Carter (Tonya Rose) of Lindale, GA; her siblings, Diane Fulton (Edward) of Lindale, GA, Jeanette Hilliard of Rome, GA and Gene Hilliard (Edna) of Lindale, GA; her sister-in-law Gwynne Hilliard; her grandchildren, Tara Nicole Carter Fergoda, Jessica Bailey MacMillan, Wesley Zac Carter, Dayton Chance Carter and Samantha Carter; and her close friend Elizabeth Massey of Silver Creek, GA.. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
