He was predeceased by: his parents, G. L. "Fat" Bennett and Marie Lambert Bennett Hill; his stepfather George Hill; his siblings, Ronnie Bennett and Glenda Bennett Worthington; and his grandfathers, Bryce Pitts (Jorge Bacallao), Shelby Bice (Justin), Ciera East (Bryce), Cameron Holsomback and Colin Holsomback.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma "Tiny" Treglown Bennett; his children, Wendy Pitts (Keith), Lisa Holsomback and Berman Leon "Lee" Bennett, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Elliot Bice, Branson East and Braxton East; and his brothers, Steve Bennett (Jessie) and Sam Bennett. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In leiu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to either Pleasant Hope Baptist Church youth and children's program, or to Willowbrook Hospice.
