She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jacob Maurer and Maria Braun Maurer of Marburg, Germany.; her children, Robert Peterson (Diane) of Evans, GA., Victor Peterson of Martinez, GA., Maria L. Moon of Thomson, GA. and Sonya P. Moon (Earnest) of Lincolnton; her sister Malthide Giesselmann "Tillie" Stadtallendorf of Germany; her grandchildren, Shannon Tucker, Eric Moon, Robby Moon, Mitchell Moon, Daniel Peterson, Jason Peterson, Joey Moon and Justin Moon; her husband Howard Wellington Peterson; and her son Kenny H. Peterson. She was also cherished by twelve great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
