He was predeceased by: his parents, James Greald Gay and Eva Gay; and his sister Jerrylena Marshall. He is survived by: his children, Dixie Gibson (Mike), Denise Smith (Smity), Whit Gay (Paula) and Sean Gay; and his siblings, Beth James and Nathan Gay (Debbie). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter.
A reception was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (3507 Wrightsboro Rd, Augusta, GA 30909).
