With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Earl Wood Jr. (Lincolnton, Georgia), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on March 27, 2023 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carl Earl Wood Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl E. Sr. Wood and Genevieve Otwell Wood; his wife Bernice Brown Wood; his son Billy Wood; and his brother Eugene Wood.

He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Parkes of Covington, GA and Carol Wood of Toccoa, GA; his stepchildren, Julia Goldman Binner of Lincolnton, Robert H. "Bobby" Goldman of Lincolnton and James C. Goldman of Tyrone, GA; and his sister Gigi Gladden (Tommy) of McDonough, GA. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Loco Baptist Church.
