He was predeceased by: his father James Edward; his sister Susan; his brother-in-law Dudley Bryant; and his brothers, Leon and Ed Cox.
He is survived by: his wife June Harper Cox; his daughters, Julie Shannon (John) of Lincolnton, Laura Stringer (Chad) of Augusta and Catherine Ludlow (Brandon) of Evans; his grandchildren, Brody Shannon, Jackson Brooks, Hudson Brooks, Madison Ludlow, Piper Shannon, Brandt Ludlow, Beau Ludlow, Blake Stringer and Landon Stringer; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Cox of Lincolnton and Bernice Cox of Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 2476 Leathersville Road, Lincolnton, Georgia 30817.
