He was predeceased by: his parents, Gloria Marbury and Charles Elmore; and his siblings, Terry Marbury and Earnestine Marbury (Sheba). He is survived by: his wife Alice Hayes Marbury; his daughter Gina Aquel Marbury-Akinjo (Wonder Woman); his stepdaughter Shanta Mabel Marbury; his son Jimmy Charles Marbury; his daughter-in-law Rachelle; his grandsons, Gabriel (Gabe), Lee Duane (J. R.) and Miles (J. J.); his siblings, Victor Gurley and Donnell Maddox; his sister-in-law Vanita; and his former wives, Selena Mobley and Cassandra Murphy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Tom M. Wages Funeral Service - Snellville (3705 US-78, Snellville, GA 30039). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
