He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammy Lincoln Woods Sr. and Mary Frances Norman Woods; and his children, Gary Wallace Woods and Kathie Woods Yielding. He is survived by: his wife Martha Steele Woods; his daughter Pam Woods Horton (Michael); his siblings, James Woods (Yvonne), Mary Helen Moody (late E. D. Moody) and Martha Bridges (late Herman Bridges); and his grandchildren, Ashley Young (Dan), Brian Sisk (Caitlin) and Abby Horton. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cemetery Fund at Pentecost Chapel Congregational Holiness Church.
