She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Ed and Eula Mae Steele; her husband Wallace Edward Woods; her children, Gary Wallace Woods and Kathie Louise Yielding; and her brother Alvin Ed Steele, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Pam Woods Horton (Michael); her sister Eddie Mae Woods; and her grandchildren, Ashley Young (Dan), Brian Sisk (Caitlin) and Abby Horton. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). The lying in state was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pentecost Chapel Congregational Holiness Church (1140 Crawford Smithonia Rd, Crawford, GA 30630). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at the same location.
