He was predeceased by: his brother Alden Blount. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Blount of Lenox; his children, Scott Blount (Jill) of Madison, AL, Kevin Blount of Lenox, LaVonda Pittman (Lee) of Willacoochee and Amanda McCool (David) of Macon; his grandchildren, Kayce Harper (Rocky), Keylee Johnson (Hugh), Charli Blount, Ethan Blount, Ziva Blount, Elizabeth Nichole Blount, Beau Blount, Skylar McCool and Declan McCool; and his great grandchild Logan Harper.

When conditions related to the COVID-19 Pandemic allow, a public memorial service will be announced.
