He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Peter and Jean Thieman Hopkins. He is survived by: his wife Rita Patterson Hopkins; his children, Jennifer Hopkins (Matt), Kelly Golkin (Michael), Mark Hopkins (Angi), Katie Lee (Ian), Jessica Petrea (Barry), Jaclyn Key, Lauren Robbins (Michael) and Chantel Wissler; and his siblings, Michael Hopkins, Debbie Stewart (Larry) and Marlene Hopkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary and St. Martha Episcopal Church (4346 Ridge Rd, Buford, GA 30519).
