In loving memory of Marilyn A. Smith (Lawrenceville, Georgia), born in Buffalo, New York, who departed this world on November 5, 2024 at the age of 96. Though Marilyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marilyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Arndt and Evelyn Arndt; her former husband Gordon Smith, Jr.; and her daughter-in-law Judie Smith. She is survived by: her children, Gordon Smith, III (Jan) of Liberty, SC, Joel Smith (late Judie Smith) of High Point, NC and Lisa Ragan (Roland) of Lawrenceville, GA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the Lord Lutheran Church (1001 Duluth Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30043).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Marilyn's memory.
