He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Marvin Adams Sr. and Evelyn Adams; his wife Kathryn Adams; his daughters, Karen Lockhart (Jay), Amanda Winstead (Benjamin) and Sara Adams; his grandchildren, Brady Lockhart, Parker Winstead and Jacob Winstead; and his pet Sandy.
