It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Andy Johnson (Lawrenceville, Georgia), who passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As James Andy departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James Andy may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James Andy leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Johnson and Inez Johnson; and his siblings, Thomas Johnson, Emogene Powell, Reba Smith and Gerald Johnson.
He is survived by: his sisters, Carolyn Short, Sandra Thompson and Joyce Thomoson; his sister-in-law Francis Johnson; his brothers, Maurice Johnson and Nelson "Shorty" Johnson; and his friend Charles Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sportsline Bar & Grill (2100 Riverside Pkwy #104, Lawrenceville, GA 30043).
