With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest L. Whitfield Jr. (Lawrenceville, Georgia), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on December 21, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Kaylee Whitfield; his siblings, Glenn Whitfield, Geraldine Gamble (Jerry) and June Davis; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Gabriele Whitfield; his children, E. Lee Whitfield III (Teresa), Edgar Clark, Tracy Highton (Tommy) and Tanya Jones; his grandchildren, Bethanie Dailey (Scott), Priscilla Clark, Jenna Conner (Bennie), Zach Highton, Ryan Highton and Hayden Jones; his great grandchildren, Dean Dailey and Wyatt Dailey; his siblings, Joyce Smith (Tommy) and David Whitfield (Sue); and his sisters-in-law, Ursula Baier and Walburgis Maitzen. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews, as well as several great nieces and great nephews and numerous cousins.
