As we bid Diana Marie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Diana Marie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Opolka; and her children, Gary Opolka and Marie Dixon. She is survived by: her sons, Peter J. Opolka Jr. (Judy) of Monroe and Christopher A. Opolka (Alicia) of Braselton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lawson Funeral Home (4532 Hwy 53, Hoschton, GA 30548). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church (6439 Spout Springs Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542).
