He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie "JJ" Wilson and Eva Whiten Wilson; his brothers, Glenn Wilson, Jessie Wilson Jr. and Butch Wilson; and his stepdaughter Hope Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Sheriff Wilson; his children, Justin Wilson of Lavonia, Georgia, Jason Wilson (Anna Clark) of Bowman, Georgia and Cegi Wilson Fortson (Sam) of Lavonia, Georgia; his stepson Darren Carter (Tara) of Walhalla; his siblings, Ted Wilson of Lavonia, Ray Wilson of Elberton and Alma Norris of Lavonia; his grandchildren, Logan Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Grace Wilson, Paige Wilson, Eva Peeler, Jasper Peeler, Kason Fortson, Cohen Fortson, Aiden Fortson, Samantha Sweetnam, Kaiden Sweetnam (Marlee), Cheyenna Carter, Kaylee Carter and Nicole Stroud Casey (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Clarke Sweetnam, Xaiver Carter, Kaden Stroud, Jameson Stroud and Elijah Stroud. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and beloved family members.
