It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Floyd of Lavonia, Georgia, born in Kissimmee, Florida, who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Clayton Floyd and Deverine Clement Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Kim Scott Floyd of Lavonia; his daughters, McKenzie (Kyle Smith), Madison (Cameron Mason) and Macie (Mark Norton); his siblings, Doug Floyd of Carnesville and Tina Ayers of Florida; and his grandchildren, Mavis, Clark, Wade Smith, Miller Mason and Ellie Norton. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorial donations may be made, in Michael's name to the Lavonia First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 47, Lavonia, GA 30553.
