She was predeceased by: her parents, John Phillips and Mae "Dee" Baker Phillips; her husband Carlton Godfrey; her sister Martha Welborn; and her children, Angela Mouchet and Sean Mouchet.
She is survived by: her daughter Erica Emory; her son-in-law Timothy Alewine; her siblings, Annie Sue Hyde, Betty Hulsey and Woodrow Phillips (Sherry); her grandchildren, Heather Prince (Jeremy), Chris Alewine and Diana Beebe; her stepchildren, Sherry Gailey, Kevin Godfrey (Donna), Jeff Godfrey (Kathy) and Melissa Godfrey (Mary); her stepgrandchildren, Emily Payne (Marcel), Marcus Godfrey (Kristen), Jacob Godfrey (Kayla), Clayton Godfrey, Abbygail Hettrick (Micah) and Lexie Godfrey; her great grandchildren, Madalyn Leaver, Leiah Ivester, Kayli Ivester, Eliza Ivester, Jerry Prince, Holden Jones, Maeve Payne, Connor Godfey, Cooper Godfrey, Gracelynn Godfrey and Neely Godfrey; and also Sue Humphrey. She is also survived by many other relatives and close friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lavonia Church of God children's ministry.
