It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lecel Pinkston of Lavonia, Georgia, who passed away on March 22, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Heard Pinkston and Brooks Pinkston; and his sisters-in-law, Vergie Pinkston Gillard of Lavonia, GA., Willie Jo Pinkston Dae of Charlotte, NC., Teresa H. McCurry (Preacher Fredrick), Beverly H. Wilkins (Marcus) and Sarah Walker Pinkston (JL).
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia E. Burtch Pinkston; his children, Lecel Fitzgerald Pinkston (Cynthia) of Lavonia, GA., Erica Eleza Pinkston Thompkins (Pastor Aachen) of Decatur, GA., Sheryl Mashunn Pinkston of Lawrenceville, GA. and Xavier Tarlenzo Pinkston; his grandchildren, Kasey Thompkins, Miranda Brooks, MaKaila Pinkston, Trinati Kimora Pinkston, Kiranna Isabella Christian, Brendon Thompkins, Caleb Thompkins and Darius Young; and his great grandchildren, Adrianna Brooks, Lawrianna Brooks, Karley Young, Londyn Norman and Samara Ware. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family members.
