He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Sanders and Willie Vickery Sanders; and his siblings, Melvin Sanders and Shirley S. Shirley. He is survived by: his close friend Hazel Price Findley Sanders; his children, Clarke Sanders of Hartwell, Russ Sanders (Robin) of Hartwell and Sheryl Ann Mims of Greenville, SC; his stepdaughters, Julie Neill of Hartwell and Brandi Valles (Jon) of Dallas, TX; his sisters, Sara Whitworth of Jefferson, GA and Wilma Howard of Lawrenceville, GA; his grandchildren, Jay Stewart, Jim Andrews, John Andrews, Kit Sanders and Ellie Sanders; his stepgrandchildren, Russell Neill, Jessica Neill and Caleb Weaver; his great grandchildren, Emalise Andrews, Aryssa Andrews, Ian Andrews, Logan Stewart and Eli Stewart; and also Jimmy Bailey.
