He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Blackmon and Sudie Henderson Blackmon; his siblings, Luther "Bud" Blackmon, Shirley Blackmon, Willie Blackmon, Margaret Blackmon and Geniva Abercrombie; and his grandson Tyler Joseph Blackmon.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lisenby Blackmon; his sons, Bradley Blackmon (Loretta), Steven Blackmon (Bridget) and Micah Blackmon (Samer); his brother Jerry Blackmon; his grandchildren, Kristen, Cassandra, Austin, Mason and Evan; and his great grandchildren, Colton Fairhurst, Delaney Fairhurst, Tyler Josiah Blackmon, Elijah Scianna, Kaia Fairhurst and Nora Rae.
