With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Powell of Lavonia, Georgia, born in Franklin, Georgia, who passed away on May 9, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Westmoreland and Willie Viola Aldrich; his stepfather Henry Powell; and his siblings, James Powell, Gus Powell and Frances Bratcher.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Ward Powell; his son Todd; his daughter-in-law Katherine Powell; and his siblings, Tommy Holly and Sally Cooper. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
