It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Mae Metts (Lakeland, Georgia), born in Nashville, Georgia, who passed away on July 28, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward (Jim) and Lily Parker (Kirby); her husband Jesse Mose Metts; and her sons, Eston Lamar Metts and Jessie Melvin Metts.
She is survived by: her son Steven; her daughter-in-law Dona Metts of Lakeland, GA; and her grandchildren, Richard Metts of Valdosta, GA, Nathan Metts of Newnan, GA, Jessica (Metts), Eric Newsome of Lakeland, GA, Kristina, Warner Montalbon of Winston, GA, Julie and Matthew Harnage of Lakeland, GA. She is also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren.
