He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth McClain and Frances Smith McClain; his wife Dorothy McClain; his children, Robert James McClain, Jr. (Jessica) of Lakeland and Melissa Ann McClain; and his siblings, Leslie McClain, Gene McClain and Lee.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Anthony McClain (Janet) of Hahira, Shawn Patrick McClain (Maddy) of Adel, Tracey McClain and Diana Christine McClain of Nashville; and his siblings, Marvin McClain (Sandie) of Fl, Vivian Sue Mixon (Robert) of Nashville and Beverly Zimmerman (Michael) of Nashville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
