She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Raford Johnson and Atlas Katherine Johnson (Raulerson); her husband George W. Barfield; and her son Curtis Albert Barfield. She is survived by: her son Charles "Charlie" Hayes (Cassie Ealey) of Lakeland, Georgia; her grandchildren, Curtis Landon Hayes, Charles Payton Ealey, Kyle Andrew Flowers, Sara Coby Danielle Kilpatrick and Elizabeth Grace Pierce; her great grandchildren, Kinley Grace Flowers and Coby Rayne Young; her sister Peggy Johnson of Okeechobee, Florida; her siblings-in-law, Clyde Barfield (Diane) of Lakeland, Georgia and Margaret Jenkins of Deville, Louisiana; her niece Linda Grissom of Port St; and her nephew Larry Brown (Cheryl) of Port St. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
