He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Pruitt and Inez Pruitt (Carter); his wife Polly Pruitt; his sons-in-law, Scott Fountain and Daryel Lancaster; his granddaughter Tammy Roberts; his siblings, Earl Pruitt, Kenny Pruitt, Curtis Pruitt, Myra Boyd, Christine Cain, Waldene Newbern and Diane Montague; and his nephew Melvin Pruitt.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Pruitt of Cairo, GA, Wesley (Darcy Pruitt), Linda Lancaster of Nashville, GA, Velda (Tim Shuman), Miranda Pruitt of Lakeland, GA and Tina Fountain of Lakeland, GA; and his sisters, Martha Jean Harris of Nashville, GA and Evelyn Bennett of Adel, GA. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
