We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2021, at the age of 71, Edwin Owen Benefield of Lakeland, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Mae (McDonald) and Riley Vernon Benefield; and his niece Heather Benefield. He is survived by: his children, Jason Benefield (Cindy) of Denver, Chad Benefield (Leslie) of Roxboro and Cassie Earl of Roanoke, Alabama; his grandchildren, Jordan, Micah, Carter, Allie, Isaac, Cayden, Hylee, Jackson and Caleb; and his siblings, Vera B. Peters and Jimmy Benefield (Sue) of Lakeland, Georgia.

The family asks that mask be worn and practice social distancing.
