We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2022, at the age of 85, Betty Williams of Lakeland, Georgia, born in Baltimore, Maryland passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Williams to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas C. Bregel and Elizabeth Truxell Bregel; her grandsons, Lee McGowan and Eric Bennett; and her siblings, Dorothy Bregel Greer (Bud), William Bregel (Jo) and Thomas Bregel.

She is survived by: her children, Terry McGowan (Carmene) of Titusville, FL, Nancy Strickland of Tifton, Mark Williams of Waycross and Sheri Bennett (George) of Lakeland; and her grandchildren, Jamie McGowan of Titusville, FL, Tina Strickland of Tifton, Derek Strickland (Erica) of Homerville, Marisa Williams of Waycross and Brandi Bennett Cooke (Will) of New Mexico. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
