He was predeceased by: his parents, James Austin and Lynnette Austin; his siblings, Marie and Billy; and his son-in-law Mike Drummond.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Austin of Lake Park; his daughter Marlie; his son-in-law Bill Jessup of Ellijay, GA; his daughter Jessica; his son-in-law Jason Nelson of Perry, GA; his granddaughters, Baleigh and Morgan Drummond of Ellijay, GA; his niece Micky Pounds of St. Augustine, FL; his stepchildren, Heather of Valdosta, Brock Yommer of Valdosta, Jacob of Valdosta and Lisa Eckwahl of Valdosta; his stepgrandchildren, Parker Trouille of Lake Park, Rebecca Cannington of Lake Park, Gage Eckwahl of Lake Park, Stone of Lake Park, Autumn Eckwahl of Lake Park, Addison Yommer of Gainesville, FL and Jenna Yommer of Valdosta; and his caregiver Lisa Suttles.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Morningside Baptist Church (425 Connell Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
