He was predeceased by: his son Russell E. "Eric" Wells; and his grandmothers, B. E. Barber and G. W. Bennett. He is survived by: his mother Louise B. Leonetti; his siblings, Rick Wells, Erika Leonetti Neyman and Selena Wells; his sons, Caleb D. Wells, Cody L. Wells and Jacob C. Wells; his grandchild Aubrie Jade Estella Padilla; and his cousin Luann Powell (Sue Herring). He is also survived by extended family, friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Jena (758 SW Hwy 361, Steinhatchee, FL 32359).
